The Waka Ama National Sprint Champs is an annual weeklong event held in January each year with some 380 races over the 7 days for competitors aged 5 years to 85 years. This event is unique in the sense that multiple generations of one whānau can compete at the same event from tamariki through to kaumātua; that’s what makes Waka Ama - for all, for life!
