Back due to popular demand, the Cambridge Town Hall is honoured to have another night with Blair Jollands, this time accompanied by three piece band 'The Band of Ghosts' featuring viola player Monica Viñoly from Las Canarias, Darryn Harkness on drums and Daniel Larsen on bass.

The evening will be a live musical showcase of Blair's latest LP 'Little Comet' featuring his hit single 'Don't Cry'.

Jollands is a compelling recording artist and songwriter. His compositions are cinematic in scope and call to mind aspects of Scott Walker, Bowie, and Beck at his heartbroken best. As well as an ear for lush instrumentation, Jollands brings his award-winning sound design skills to his music, incorporating found sounds and samples into his productions.
He has previously collaborated with The Strokes producer Gordon Raphael and Boy George, who released some of Blair’s previous material under the name El Hula on the More Protein label.

Emmy & Bafta nominated sound designer and singer songwriter Jollands has won the admiration of many including David Bowie. His music communicates a paradoxical mix of melancholia and optimism that is hard to resist. Often compared vocally to Lana Del Rey, Nick Cave & Rufus Wainwright, Jollands has received much praise from the likes of NME and Guardian.

Also known for his soundtracks & sound design on the Emmy & Golden Globe nominated Shackleton, Netflix’s series Bodies plus his Bafta nominated Sky Atlantic series Fortitude staring Michael Gambon. Originally from Grey Lynn Auckland, Jollands is currently based in London.

Limited edition vinyl and merch available at the show.
