Cloth nappies and low-waste parenting

Did you know that nappies and sanitary items, which include wipes and menstrual products, are the third biggest waste stream in Waipā household rubbish bags?

We’re keen to help reduce this waste by supporting local parents to trial cloth nappies and learn a range of waste-busting tips and tricks from the Kate Meads team.

You can complete the online course from home at your own pace and around sleep schedules.

You will:
• learn about where disposable nappies actually go
• improve how you deal with and manage your family's waste
• boost your confidence in cloth nappies and parenting in general.

Tickets cost $10. Waipā District Council has subsidised the course, and you’ll be sent a cloth nappy starter pack worth $60 once you complete the course
