Calling all tamariki (and their grown-ups)! Get the whānau together and come down to explore Waipā’s newest and biggest playground at Cambridge’s Papatakohe Park.
We’re throwing a free family event to celebrate, and you won’t want to miss it! Check out what’s in store:
The free family fun includes:
- a basketball free throw competition (nothing but net, right?), with prizes to win!
- a free sausage sizzle thanks to Camex Civil
- a scavenger hunt for little explorers
- colouring in activities to get creative
- food trucks serving up the snacks
- and of course, heaps of time to PLAY!
And let’s talk about this playground… It’s got a double flying fox, exercise gear, musical and water play, a sandpit, a custom-built tower, and three different play zones for all ages - from tiny tots to big kids (and let’s be honest, probably a few parents too!).
Getting there: Parking is available - enter via Hugo Shaw Drive. If you can, why not walk, bike, or scoot over?
Supervision: We suggest children under the age of 14 to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
This celebration is made possible thanks to some amazing local developers and contractors—3MS, Fluhler Contracting, McCaffrey and Cable Consultants, Camex Civil, and C & R Developments. Big shoutout to them for bringing this playground to life!
We can’t wait to see you there—bring the whānau, bring your mates, and get ready for a day of fun, laughter, and adventure!
