Holding your event on one of Waipā's 130 public spaces, parks, reserves or sports fields? Here's what you need to know.
There's no fee to book and use a public space but a bond may be required or in some cases a commercial use charge.
A bond covers any damage to the property from your event. It also covers any extra cleaning costs if the space or its amenities, such as toilets, aren’t left in their original condition.
You’ll need to tell us how you intend on using the facility, your dates/times, and key contacts. Structures like tents, stages, caravans and the like will require written permission from Council before you can erect them. Please be aware that some structures may even require a resource consent – check now if you’re not sure!
